Crumbled Maps: March 2007
http://crumbledmaps.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Went to one of my best friend's birthday party this weekend, had myself a grand time. Everyone bought new clothes for spring break. This shirt wins "Most Adorable"; anything with pockets and flowers gets all the points.*. Short post today; I'm leaving tomorrow morning and my suitcase is still empty! Where's my ridiculously tiny bottle of shower gel? I'm Asian. =D. It just made me smile. I'm bringing back tweed elbow patches! View my complete profile. Proverbial Café du Jour. New England, je t'aime. People never hesitate to praise Europe for all its historical, cultural, and fashion integrity, and most Americans, with the current state of the country, aren't exactly patriotically opposing the nay-sayers either. But do we realize that just across the pond from Buckingham Palace, New England holds up its own, in a very dignified manner, no less? The New Jersey coast. Museum of Fine Arts (complete with flying plaster men). The van Gogh corner. Can you feel his ghost? I think thi...

So I got a new blog on Tumblr, so subsequently I've ignored Crumbled Maps. But I really love this one because it's where I can fixate on all the materialistic and frivolous aspects of my existence. Hmm I'll be back later with something more interesting. Like those whacky Gareth Pugh sticks walking down the runway this spring? I'm bringing back tweed elbow patches! View my complete profile. Crumbled Maps: February 2007
http://crumbledmaps.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
I've been working on this for the past few days. I'm trying to build my portfolio this year I've even been making a collection (it may possibly be shown). Recently, I've been obsessed with Asian models. Merci beaucoup pour tous les comments. All of you are so amazing for being so open-minded about multiculturalism. There are still gridlines from my enlargement. A work in progress, and progress of my work. Living as a semi-expatriate for twelve years, I find it. Soho, New York. I bet I can name five Afric...

Crumbled Maps: June 2007

Lip my stocking, Mr. Harris! Has got to be one of my most favorite movies. Not only is it directed by one of my favorite and most fashionably sensible directors to have ever shunned Hollywood for the better sartorial environments of New York and Paris, it's got a subtle humor that not all people can relate to. Charlotte's backside as the random first scene? Good A Japanese man randomly named Charlie Brown? GOOD Random "entertainment" girl sent up to Bob's room playing coquettish? I apologize for the unex...

Crumbled Maps: December 2006
http://crumbledmaps.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
With hours left before the bell tolls, the ball drops, etc., I keep thinking how 2006 blurred past me without leaving behind any footprints. A year older and supposedly, a year wiser (PAH! I beg to differ. Stifling guffaws when my friends and I pass the lingerie section of the department store tells me a little about my maturity level). Was it really seven years ago that people were running around buying jumbo water jugs and family-size cases of tomato soup in case a nuclear war broke out on Y2K? It just...

Crumbled Maps: Shanghai Surprise.
http://crumbledmaps.blogspot.com/2007/11/shanghai-surprise.html
From the 700 photos I took on my trip to China this past summer, I've selected the ones that best evoked the spirit of my vacation in Shanghai and the south (and it's only taken me three months to do it! Some are fashion-related, while others pertain to culture. But I think the most identifiable thing about what I've captured on film is the idiosyncratic nature of everything I encountered. Voila! Where the city meets the sky. Rich colours dominated fashion in the city. Delicious dim-sum and dumplings.
