Goodbye, 2013! | Cracked Rear View
https://crackedrearview.wordpress.com/2013/12/31/goodbye-2013
Behind the wheel but in front of the mirror…. December 31, 2013. It was one crazy year, yet here we are, welcoming another one. I’m reposting a set of “resolutions” — and then some — that I plan to stick to for 2014. Here we go:. 1 Tweet less, think more. 2 Facebook less, face people more. 3 Speak less, do more. 4 Eat less, run/swim more. 5 Text less, call more. 6 Spend less, earn more. 7 Say less, ask more. 8 Work less, sleep more. 9 Seek less, find more. 10 Hate less, love more. Here’s to 2014!

Opportunity | Cracked Rear View

Behind the wheel but in front of the mirror…. February 15, 2012. Sometimes we don’t realize when opportunity comes our way. It’s usually not obvious. It’s up to us to discover it and put our full trust that it will be the best option. But nothing is guaranteed. You can only make the best guess. What is important is that you make a decision and not dilly-dally. By the time we realize that we should have done it when it was right there for us to do, its too late. Think About School ». N8 no iPhone | Cracked Rear View
https://crackedrearview.wordpress.com/2010/12/18/26
Behind the wheel but in front of the mirror…. December 18, 2010. I’m currently test-driving an N8 unit as a way of gauging if I really like this device enough for me to buy one. From the start, what attracted me to the N8 was its look. I especially like the silver version, kinda sleek and futuristic looking in an old-school way. True enough, the next couple of days saw a markedly increased battery life for the N8. I would still set the average consumption to be one day, for standby time, moderate voi...

Are You Busy? | Cracked Rear View
https://crackedrearview.wordpress.com/2013/09/10/are-you-busy
Behind the wheel but in front of the mirror…. September 10, 2013. I came across this post about the “culture of busyness” and how our generation (X) grew up thinking that multitasking was the right thing to do in one’s career, family, relationships, and everything else. It’s only after the crash and burn does one realize that this isn’t so. Matt Steel of Content Creators and Curators writes about “ The abundance of slowness. Here are snippets of wisdom in Matt’s words:. 8211; Someone once said the troubl...

Race Review, Part 2: The 34th National MILO Marathon, July 4 THE SCANDAL. Now for the more interesting part of this race review: the dark side. 1 – Lack of hydration. In my previous post I mentioned about struggling to reach the finish line though I was about to get completely dried up. Thanks to a little push I was able to finish the course in one piece. There was no water on the approach to the finish line! Ever heard of the saying “Mas maganda na ang sobra kesa kulang”? Nope, this isn’t an aucti...

(Probably) The Other Reason Why I’m Running |
https://drumandrun.wordpress.com/2010/05/13/probably-the-other-reason-why-im-running
Probably) The Other Reason Why I’m Running. As a drummer, I have to admit one of my greatest frustrations – the double bass pedal. I asked one friend of mine a long time ago (who’s an expert in percussion, by the way) for some tips and tricks that he used to master the art of the double pedal. His answer was simple – try running. So did I get into running because I want to sharpen my drumming skills? Hopefully, with some persistence, I’ll be able to follow the footsteps of some of my drumming gods:.
