Half Chinese + Half Jewish = Full Chewish/Full Foodie
The Chew With a View: July 2011
http://chewwithaview.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
The Chew With a View. Half Chinese Half Jewish = Full Chewish/Full Foodie. Monday, July 18, 2011. Spicy beef and shrimp fajitas. La Taquiza near USC. I've written a business plan. I'm in the middle of sales pitches. But nothing tells an entrepreneur's story quite like a photographic account of meetings, or the personal story of the partners you meet with. And I am bitten by the start-up phases once again. My sleep is unsettled. I wake up exhilarated. I dream in sales. When I ask Miguel his favorite, of c...
The Chew With a View: A Sausagefest (That Guys Actually Want)

The Chew With a View. Half Chinese Half Jewish = Full Chewish/Full Foodie. Tuesday, May 3, 2011. A Sausagefest (That Guys Actually Want). You've caught me at a great time - in the midst of graduation festivities comes food. And lots of it. Beer too. Did I mention the beer? Wurstkuche (vurst-koo-sha, I think) is a solid sausage and beer self-service bar and restaurant in Downtown's hidden Arts District. After bumping into a fellow Six Taste co-worker, I began with a La Chouffe. Duck and Bacon with Jalapeno.

Eating Zagat: June 2009
http://zagatista.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 28, 2009. I won't try to recount all the previous places I've eaten. A lot of them were chains that I see no reason to revisit in Los Angeles - a chain is a chain - it's the same in LA as it is anywhere else. But tomorrow I begun the real chronicle of my adventure in Zagat. So things I promise to bring to this little piece of binary code reformatted in plain English for you to see, elaborate explanations of my experience, great descriptions of food, photos hopefully(! Baja fresh mexican grill.
Eating Zagat: December 2009
http://zagatista.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 28, 2009. Zagatistas Have Christmas Traditions: Dinner at Benihana. No quickie. Somethings are worth some effort. Suck on garlicky onions and shrimp, remembering to use the dark sauce for veggies and fish, the mustard sauce for chicken and meat. Watch in awe as your chef grills the onions the old fashioned way, by shaping them into a volcano and torching it. Just like Mom makes it. Gorge on grilled chicken and pieces of steak so thin you'd think the cows were on Atkins. This place looks ...

Sunday, April 11, 2010. How to Read Food Guides: A Life Skill. Quick Disclaimer-y: Obviously all my opinion, my experiences, my nonsense. You can't get mad at me for a single thing I say. For all you know, it's complete hoo-hah. My experiences tend to be based on Zagat and Yelp. I will specify where necessary. Also, if you can read all of this, you should get a cookie. Not from me. From somewhere though. First, a couple myths. Everything in Zagat is Good. High rankings are bought. Though I could never in...

Friday, August 24, 2012. How to utilize your holiday? Nevertheless, it becomes an Achilles heel for me when the 'break' is too long. Time wasted. Yes, I do read some books. They are good but i always have the tendency to get stuck at approximately 30 or 50 pages. Haha. This is me. Being impatient is one of my weaknesses. Yet I'm trying to defeat it. You'll see. So, coming back to the thought of the day.have you planned your holiday wisely and effectively? How is it considered WISE or EFFECTIVE? I'm not a...

Chew on This. | random thoughts of a food lover.
Random thoughts of a food lover. Food Fundamentals: Perfect Creamy Scrambled Eggs. I have now grown to appreciate most egg preparations, especially those with runny yolks. Here’s what you’re gonna need:. 2-3 eggs (per person if doing more than one serving). 1 tbsp butter, cold. Freshly grated parmigiano reggiano (optional). 2 Pour egg mixture into a small pan (cold). Place on stove and heat at medium-low. 4 Eventually the eggs will become thicker and more evenly cooked. Once it’s just slightly ...And lot...
