I bought a ball in Tamale and brought it out to the field one day. It is a nice thing to look forward to at the end of the day. I don’t think it is actua...

Courtney in Gushei, Ghana. A four month volunteer placement through Engineers Without Borders Canada, McGill University chapter. Saturday, May 17, 2008. ITFC - A company with an NGO mentality. I just finished my first full week of work and I am back in Tamale to stock up on some supplies, use the internet, and catch up with some other volunteers. I have learned so much this week about the company I’m working with. Just to give you an overview…. Each field assistant is responsible for about 40 farmers.

Courtney in Gushei, Ghana. A four month volunteer placement through Engineers Without Borders Canada, McGill University chapter. Thursday, August 28, 2008. Wrapping up at Work. There was so much I wanted to do in my last few weeks at work, and the time seemed to fly by. In an earlier post, I discussed how I wanted to hold a farmers’ meeting on drip irrigation, and I managed to pull it off before leaving ITFC. Just to refresh your memory, there were 2 reasons I organized this meeting:. Sarah - long term v...

I did not have any expectations of my friends and family upon my farewell, but I was pleasantly surprised by the generosity and kindness I was shown. A few of my friends who are field assistants at ITFC organized a farewell soccer match for me! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a student in Civil Engineering...

CHEZ SHEA | THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF LIVING THE DREAM
THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF LIVING THE DREAM. November 4, 2016. If my blogsite was a garden, it would be overgrown and weedy. If it was a house- it would be a pretty messy one, dishes unwashed- laundry undone. Good job it’s neither of those things. But I do feel bad that I’ve neglected it and my blogging buddies. OK, so what’s been happening? On the positive side, she doesn’t know she has a tumour- so she’s not suffering existential angst. We’re doing that for her. She’s not suf...October 6, 2016. I’m no...
