in the KimKitch: in the KimKitch featured in Etsy Treasury!
http://inthekimkitch.blogspot.com/2010/11/kimkitch-featured-in-etsy-treasury.html
In the KimKitch featured in Etsy Treasury! The Etsy world noticed the KimKitch today! That's right, KimKitch biscotti were featured in a Treasury listing. By WinkArtisans. A Treasury listing is Etsy's "ever-changing, member-curated shopping gallery." Members find items that go well together, group them into a listing and have a chance to be "published" on Etsy's front page. Second column, fourth row: KimKitch in the Treasury. How cool is that? Plus, how fun are the little bears on that spoonful of sugar?

in the KimKitch: Coconut Magic
http://inthekimkitch.blogspot.com/2011/04/coconut-magic.html
Photo courtesy of Chez Terez. The magic of a birthday. When there's a cake made just for you. Singing a happy tune. The KimKitch was full of coconut magic last Friday. The cake was a twinkling-star, but KR still can't keep from critiquing creations out of her kitch. Here are her notes on the Barefoot Contessa's Coconut Cake, a favorite of Mama Rose, for whom the candles were lit. Hoping you enjoy this recipe as much as our family does. Sending happiness your way,. 1 1/2 teaspoons pure almond extract.

in the KimKitch: egg labor
http://inthekimkitch.blogspot.com/2010/11/egg-labor.html
A friend of ours recently confided he doesn't like eggs. And when I think about it, I realize a cousin of mine doesn't like them either. But I just can't understand it: I absolutely *LOVE* eggs. Their shape, their color, the way they can be cooked into breakfast, lunch, OR dinner. How the inside can be split into two, how the yolk is perfectly circular and the white, amorphous yet clear as can be. I love how they give structure to baked goods, height to lemon meringue, air to angel food cake. Now, I know...

in the KimKitch: a glimpse of what's to come
http://inthekimkitch.blogspot.com/2010/11/glimpse-of-whats-to-come.html
A glimpse of what's to come. Vibrant extra virgin olive oil {not pictured}. A teasing list of ingredients comes together in the KimKitch tonight. I can hardly handle the anticipation, can you? Posted by { kr ryan }. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Please, help yourself. Why don't you settle into a warm, velvety wingback, put your feet up on a cushy footstool and help yourself to the "baby biscotti" in the mason jar on the side-table? I think you'll quite enjoy Nani's Anise or the Ginger Love. Biscott...

in the KimKitch: Almorange
http://inthekimkitch.blogspot.com/2010/11/almorange.html
I would like to introduce you to. The word reminds me of a secret admirer. A secret note signed "Almorange" might pique your interest, no? Well it did mine. And so, I read on to find out how nutty and zesty this one sweet cookie is. You should to. A fresh batch of these and Nani's Anise biscotti went postal today. I was told this particular package - - which included a couple gorgeous gold boxes from the super sparkler, Chez Terez. Will arrive by Wednesday, just in time for Turkey Day. Woohoo! I did enjo...

Little Miss Piggy: Thai Chicken
http://littlemisspiggy-meg.blogspot.com/2011/02/thai-chicken.html
Meg's (now gluten free) adventures in cooking, living, schooling and maybe some training too. Saturday, February 5, 2011. My nephew Caiden has been a GREAT couch buddy while I've been injured. We were hanging out, him in his dino outfit and exersaucer and me with my boot and crutches (I know, he's cuter), and I browsed through my sister's crock pot recipe book. The crock pot is awesome for minimizing standing time! 2 - 25 lbs chicken breasts. 1 cup hot salsa (I used Newman's Own). Meg making some pie.

Little Miss Piggy: Fiesta Casserole
http://littlemisspiggy-meg.blogspot.com/2011/02/fiesta-casserole.html
Meg's (now gluten free) adventures in cooking, living, schooling and maybe some training too. Thursday, February 17, 2011. This is a really easy weeknight dinner. It also makes great leftovers. I served it with Mexican rice. For high school girl friends Emily. And Julie. And of course, Doug eat his fair share when he got home later that night. The recipe calls for ground beef, but I swap it out with turkey. 1 pound lean ground turkey. 1 large onion, diced. 1 green bell pepper, diced. Meg making some pie.

Little Miss Piggy: December 2010
http://littlemisspiggy-meg.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Meg's (now gluten free) adventures in cooking, living, schooling and maybe some training too. Monday, December 27, 2010. I already love my new waffle maker. I also love these waffles. Coconut flour doesn't taste like coconut, it's just a light and sweet gluten free flour alternative. They're also very high in protein and low in carbs. Just magic! 15 teaspoons oil (I used veggie). 15 teaspoons of vanilla. 3/8 teaspoon baking soda. 3 tablespoons coconut flour. Hooray for a post Christmas blizzard! Heat the...
