Beginner knitter learning the ins and outs. The start of it all! September 8, 2015. Thanks so much for stopping by! This is my very first blog entry and I’m so excited to start! I am very new to knitting I just started a few weeks ago and I’ve already spent waaaay too much on yarn. I wanted to start this blog to have a place to share my knitting successes and failures and hoping to find like minded people who are new to knitting so we can grow together! I decided to make this scarf! I love arm knitting!

Making stuff and writing about it. Today I have the joy of sharing a completed project with you. It always feels like a victorious moment when I cut off that last, lingering yarn end and lay down the scissors. As a person terminally rubbish at finishing things it feels like I have fought a battle with my own inefficiency and won (usually resulting in me parading around the house with whatever i have finished being worn on my head). My Life in Words. My Life in Words. August 8, 2015. August 8, 2015. When we moved to Prince Edward Island in 2000 I didn’t have a garden bed or one prepared. We’d left the tiller behind. But I had resources! In the fall there would be apples for apple pie filling and plums for jam at the orchard just a ways away. I could get 50 lbs of potatoes – but we could never eat that many and anyway I wasn’t too happy about how they might have been grown. I prefer stuff without pesticides. August 10, 2015 at 8:50 am.
