J'ai commencer par vérifier le commodo et après vérification avec des shunt, j'ai effectivement des soucis de contact,. Donc je le démonte pour vérifier. J'ai démonter le petit contacteur du clignotant qui est retenu par 2 vis. Et j'ai nettoyer les contact qui était noir. Les contact se font bien.

Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Breath Easy - Part 2. So This Took Me Forever. After Some Screw Ups and Body Filler Failure This Was The Result. It took me about 3 weeks of sanding, priming, bondo-ing, puttying, etc. But it was finally perfect. Time to mix up some paint! Step 1: Clean HPLV gun cause you were too lazy to clean it last time. Makes it twices as hard btw cause everything gets crusty. Nothing Acetone won't fix. Disassemble the gun and clean everything. BOOM Big Ass Can. Next get out your paint.

Sunday, January 6, 2013. Gettin Crazy with an inspection lid. One of the bigger problems with S30Z is Aerodynamics. This includes the area under the hood. Basically Air gets trapped in the engine bay. The explanations get real technical. Just trust me. That Air gets real hot, given its proximity to the engine creating a ton of problems. This is why Nissan came out with an optional hood "scoop" for S30s. And hood vents for the 78 S30s. Not wanting to cut a giant hole in the beautiful line of the Z hood.

Thursday, June 21, 2012. This may get confusing. Tis the nature of the DCOE. So I had a lean pop at the transition between the idle jets and main jets. Anytime you'd power on the throttle, VS roll on the throttle, the carbs would backfire. After a bit of research I decided a change in the accelerator check valve was needed. The accelerator pump itself can be altered to tune the lean spot out. But a former Weber employee disapproved. You only need one check valve per carb. I think I know why. Maybe I will...

Monday, March 24, 2014. Strappin On a Tank. A common problem with S30 Z's is a faulty gas gauge. Prior to restoration my Z was no exception. I bought a new fuel sending unit from the dealer in an attempt to remedy the bad readings. Installed the new sending unit along with a new O-ring (a must) and thought all was well. The gauge read full ALL THE TIME. Oh well, I tried. After some research I determined everything was working properly. And there was the root of my problem. Step 5: Find a sheet of urethane.

First Step Remove The Column Cover. Next Pull the Dash Cover (If You Have One). The Speedo is Held in by Two Wing Nuts. Almost Impossible to Get Off by Hand. Easy Removal is Done Via a 3/4" Socket. With the Dash Cap Out of the Way. The Two Wing Nuts Removed the Speedo Slides Out The Front of the Dash. Just A Car Geek.
