舞鶴、岩滝方面からおいでの方は ミップル の交差点 浜町 をミップルと反対方向に曲がっていただき、真っ直ぐお進み下さい。 宮津駅 から丹海バスに乗って 京街道 下車。 お盆の 山門施食会 初盆施食会 、 観音大祭 など、大きな行事の際は駐車場が混み合うことがございますので、案内の係の者の指示に従うようにして下さい。

智源寺は寛永2年 1625 5月、宮津城主 京極丹後守高広が、母堂 惣持院殿松渓智源大禅定尼. こちらは安永元年 1772 4月、宮津吉原の畑より出土し、宮津城中に40年間祭祀されていたものを文化8年 1811 2月、藩主 本庄宗発公より賜り、秘仏とされています。 山口素絢 1759 1818 筆。

智源寺は曹洞宗の専門僧堂 せんもんそうどう 修行道場 として、現在も多くの雲水 修行僧 たちが修行に励んでおります。 僧堂 坐禅堂 にて、１回40分間の坐禅を朝に1度、夜に１度 制中は２度 行います。

While there are about 100 Chiger families in the US now, ours is the only one that derives from Alexander "Sasha" Chiger and Manya Mermelstein, originally from Kamnetz Padolsk in the Ukraine, and Isidore Mink (Poland) and Sarah Fistell (Unknown).
