Childbirth Conversations

Saturday, August 1, 2015. We had been praying since the first of June, for our 6th baby. About 2:30 am I woke up because I really had to ***. After settling back in bed I realized I was contracting. It was already every 5 minutes, but they were not strong. I tried to go back to sleep, but was unable to. At 4:30 I decided to get up and go to the living room to read my Bible and pray. After reading a couple of the Psalms. At 8:20 am, our baby boy entered the world! Original story shared on The Manor Manor.

Childbirth Conversations: May 2015

http://www.childbirthconversations.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 30, 2015. I was sick throughout the whole pregnancy. I only required IV hydration once at the beginning, but was miserably nauseous all 9 months. My husband remembers me losing my breakfast the morning he was preaching at church two weeks before our due date. The nausea was actually reassuring to us though, as we had a miscarriage the year before and when I stopped being nauseous was when we lost the baby. My mom was flying to. My water broke at home at. 8221; It was so overwhelming to hold...

Childbirth Conversations: Can I Become Tolerant of Epidurals?

http://www.childbirthconversations.blogspot.com/2015/07/can-i-become-tolerant-of-epidurals.html

Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Can I Become Tolerant of Epidurals? One of my friends who has four children asked me if it's possible for epidurals to become less effective because of becoming tolerant of the medicines in the epidural as hers had become less effective with each birth. I did not know the answer. So at one of my prenatal appointments I asked my doctor about this. Why then were the epidurals less effective each time? I have no idea and neither did my doctor. Childbirth Conversations: Can I Eat During Labor?

http://www.childbirthconversations.blogspot.com/2015/07/can-i-eat-during-labor.html

Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Can I Eat During Labor? This is a very common question from first time moms, with both easy and complicated answers. Can you eat while in labor? However, if you are in a hospital they will not let you have anything but clear liquids or Popsicles (find out what the rules are for where you are delivering). If you have an epidural, you cannot have anything but ice chips. Did you eat during labor? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe for E-Mail Updates. Is An IV Necessary?

Childbirth Conversations: Is An IV Necessary?

http://www.childbirthconversations.blogspot.com/2015/07/is-iv-necessary.html

Thursday, July 30, 2015. Is An IV Necessary? This is another common question that I hear frequently that has a simple yet complicated answer. Is an IV necessary? However, very few hospitals will allow you to labor and deliver without one, even if you plan to have an un-medicated birth. If you plan to be induced or plan to have an epidural, an IV is necessary because of the medicines given for induction, and an IV fluid bolus is necessary for an epidural. What is your experience with IVs? When Should I Ge...

Childbirth Conversations: Barrett's Birth Story

http://www.childbirthconversations.blogspot.com/2015/07/barretts-birth-story.html

Saturday, July 18, 2015. He spent a full 2 minutes jabbing nerves, and me begging him to stop! At first, it only worked on half my body, but it finally caught up to the other side. So after a quick nap I was finally ready to push, the pain had subsided, and I just wanted him here. The nurses came in, I pushed for less than 10 mins, and then he was in my arms! When I asked Ivy about sharing her story this is what she said:. Shared by Ivy L. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe for E-Mail Updates.
