It's like my own little corner of Hong Kong in Brisbane. LOVE IT. Why do I love it? 1 The parents are overseas. NO PHONE CALLS! No parental interference. AWESOME. 2 They are paying HUGE money to be there. 3 They are adults. (I know I call them kids but since they are HALF my age, they are kids). 6 It's close to home.

Thursday, May 31, 2007. I just started reading The Childless Revolution. This book divides the childfree/childless woman into 3 categories - chosen, chance and happenstance. I'm a bit dismayed already that the childfree (chosen) ones are a mere 30 pages at the start of the book. These women are then divided into another 3 categories - positively, religiously and environmentally childfree. The women that they spoke to have all expressed great joy and happiness with their choices and do not regret them.

I am certainly NOT for parents who say "Ok, he's no angel, but he didn't deserve punishment for trying to break into someone's house.". Yes, yes he does. He deserves to be punished, as do the parents for raising such a socially retarded child. When are we going to start holding people accountable for what they do? Why is this not standard practice?
