Children and Parents Say. Food and education project for 200 children in Morro da Vitoria, Fortaleza, Ceara. Children in Hunger is a small UK based charity working to combat child poverty in Brazil. One of its long term projects is based in the poor neighbourhood of Morro da Vitoria in the city of Fortaleza, in Brazils poorest north-eastern region. In summary the findings are:. Children and Parents Say. Each day we provide a daily nutritional meal for over 300 underprivileged children from the Morro da Vitoria slum in the city of Fortaleza, which is our main project. We also feed about 100 children from the towns of Ipueiras and Macambira in rural Ceara, 60 children from the Celebridade slum in the city of Uberlandia, 90 children from the indigenous village of Barreira Branca on Bananal Island and 78 children from the rural town of Sao Miguel do Araguaia in Goias.

Children and Parents Say. The 2008 Brazilian Cup karting event was again held at Whilton Mill Karting Circuit in Northamptonshire. Organised by Steve and Rita Chapman, the event raised over £ 2,000. We would like to thank Steve, Rita and everybody else who helped to make it such a succesful day. Two of the race winners along with some of the event volunteers. This years event will be on the weekend of 30th and 31st May at Whilton Mill Karting Club in Northamptonshire.
