How you can Help. Children of Choba Primary School. Motto: Education is Wealth. Our children really love school, and we have no absenteeism except through genuine illness. Education is an on going process, even for our teachers. Head Teacher Temu travelled to London in September 2012 and spent 2 weeks on a reciprocal visit at University College School Junior Branch in Hampstead. He learned a huge amount in a short time and is now busy putting it all into practice in Choba!

How you can Help. We aim to give the children the highest possible standards of education not just by following the Tanzanian syllabus but also by teaching them to become responsible global citizens. The children have already got to know many nonâ Tanzanians â we have lots of visitors and several volunteer teachers from Europe and America have helped at the school. These teachers donâ t just teach the children, they improve the English of the teachers too. How we are Different.

How you can Help. Children of Choba Nursery School. Motto: Learning is fun! We have 100 pupils studying in 3 classes called elephant, giraffe and zebra. The children are aged between 4 and 7 years and attend school between 8am and 11.30am every weekday. We have 3 young enthusiastic teachers, who are all qualified to teach at Nursery level. By the time the children progress to the Primary School they can read and write in Swahili and know many English words. Their arithmetic is also excellent.
