En Noviembre del 2007, un integrante de los Chicureo Trekkers tuvo la suerte de hacer el "Trekking" más austral del continente al visitar el Parque Nacional Cabo de Hornos que esta ubicado en la Isla de Hornos en CHILE. La mayor altitud del parque es el cerro Pirámide con solo 406 m. Un gran saludo al personal de la Armada de Chile y a su familia que viven en esta remota Isla y entre sus labores esta la de operar el Faro de Cabo de Hornos que es el más austral del mundo.

Como originalmente partimos un grupo de vecinos, surgieron los Chicureo Trekkers, nombre que se ha mantenido hasta el día de hoy. El equipo oficial lo forman: Pablo Wenborne; Loreto Kinast; Carlos Ubeda; Ricardo Kitzing y Christian Corssen.
