http://splittheneedles.blogspot.com/2015/07/cutting-canvas.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Don't you just love cutting your canvas? It's so liberating. It took a quiet room and almost an hour for me to cut, glue and stitch around a hole the size of a quarter. Turn it over, glue the threads around the hole and CUT. Keep breathing while you do this. Stick the candle through to make sure it FITS. Then turn it over and more glue and restitch the hole. And to think I have the summer candle in my stash :-). Moving on to something much less complicated.my alligator. Fates and ...

Obsessed Stitcher: December 2012
http://obsessedstitcher.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 15, 2012. Picked up some finishing. I just picked up some finishing today. These two pieces had been in my finished but not "finished" box for quite some time when I finally took them in for framing. After spending so much just to complete a piece, it just kills me to spend hundreds on framing, but I really don't need any more pillows and these were two big pieces. So I just bit the bullet and did it. Here's the next piece, not an expensive canvas, but I loved it. I am a 50 woman who e...

Topsell, finished | Elmsley Rose
http://www.elmsleyrose.com/embroidery/topsellfinished
Aka Megan H, Melbourne, Australia. As you can see, I’ve finished Topsell as a slip (on padded card), attached the slip to a green background, added some long stitches under his feet as in the original etching and then attached that to a green/gold background. I’ve just finished stitching calico to the back of the green/gold background to hide the lacing. Finished! I’ll do a post about lacing Topsell onto card separately.
