This 46th annual event is organised by LDWA members and other local walkers and is open to all, including runners and orienteering groups. This year's walk will take place on Sunday 11th September 2016. The aim is to complete a distance of 26 miles on foot within a time limit of 9 hours. The event is not a race but each successful participant will receive a certificate which can be collected at the finish.

Entry is limited to 350 persons. The event is open to all including cross-country runners. The entry fee is £5. The final date for postal entries is Wednesday 9thSeptember although you may enter on the day at a fee of £7. Start and finish at Lane End Village Hall, Bucks. The route is mostly confined to footpaths and bridleways. A set of route details is provided on the day. You are strongly advised to carry the 1:25,000 series Ordnance Survey Map Explorer 171. Please note that the route description is subject to last minute changes.
