VISIT THE LOCAL PEOPLE. Two major tribes are living around Chimps' Nest, the Batooro and Bakiga. Traditionally, both tribes utilize the forest for food, fuel, building materials and medicines. The park is a protected area under the Uganda Wildlife Authority, which allows the local people to have controlled, and sustainable access to selected forest resources. Tracking chimpanzees is a very interesting experience. Get your walking shoes on as we move through bush and jungle to spend one hour with our fascinating relatives, watching them swing through the trees or move quickly across the ground in front of us. Chimpanzees and humans share more than 98% of their genetic code. Wear shoes with good traction, suitable for steep muddy slopes. Famoso por la posibilidad de ver chimpancés en su entorno natural. Este recorrido además nos dio la oportunidad de ver y compartir unas horas únicas con el pueblo ugandés. Fuera un hombre arreglaba una moto. Tener aquí una es subir de categoría, que va de ir a pie, pasando por la bicicleta, la moto y terminado con el coche sólo en caso de privilegiados.
