Friday, May 25, 2007. We spent the day driving to and from the famous (supposedly in the top ten sights in Taiwan) Sun Moon Lake. The "lake" was disappointing, but we saw some other cool stuff on the trip. This isn't uncommon, but it's still amusing every time I see it. The Chinese says that you shouldn't illegally sell food, and that the police will ticket you for doing so. Not sure what happened with the English. Another temple. Sunday, May 27, 2007. Ironically, chicken in Taiwan doesn't taste quite like chicken. They're given more freedom than most US chickens, which is always good, but there's something unique about the flavor too. There seem to be more dogs in Taiwan than in China, both miserable strays and healthy pets. I've also seen "fashionable" young women carrying tiny dogs with them, which, according to William, is a sign of Paris Hilton's influence. It's what i eat and what i do.". KTV (karaoke) is very popular in Asia.
