Mary and George traveled to Chincoteague for a weekend of camping and fell in love with the Island. They purchased their summer home in 1981 and the first Proud Mary was purchased in 1984. Capt. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Spring is finally here and time for yard work. I have good news to report. I have passed my Captain's test and just waiting for my paperwork to be accepted. My husband, George has been busy getting PROUD MARY AND PROUD MARY TOO ready for a new season. My favor time on the water is sailing to the end of Assateague and to the edge of the Ocean.
