Headlined the first Annual Pony Phest. DePaolo wowed the crowd in Robert Reed Downtown Waterfront Park with a playing style that drew influences from Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower and Stevie Ray Vaughn. His closing cover of Hendrix’s ‘Voodoo Chile’ brought the crowd to its feet! On Chincoteague Island September 19.

Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Blessing of the Fleet. After leading the fleet, from behind the Coast Guard escort, we departed on our own cruise. We went on search of wild ponies on the back edge of Assateague Island. We did spot some, but they were at a distance. We cruised by memorial park, where the ponies cross every year on the last Wednesday of July and continued to the waterview of the Assateague Lighthouse. Norma came across a poem by Walt Whitman and shared it with me, so I will now share it with you.
