Haven’t seen a horse since we’ve lived in China but found this street sign down the street near 4th Ring Road. We had a Peugeot when I was a kid but I haven’t seen one since. Line 13 of the subway seems to be all above ground. Stores have random fish in them. This is Suning, an appliance store near us. Lanterns decorating a street for National Day week. One of our new favorites: C and after reading about it online, there’s a C Honey I need to find since my dad and I were obsessed with Honey Lemon soda on our 1990 Japan trip. Beibingyang (Arctic Ocean) soda: flavors are (from R to L), orange, tangerine, and death (or, as they call it, plum). We like orange best, it reminds me a little bit of Cactus Cooler. October 16, 2015. This is the door they close when I got the X-ray, they still use the film version. This is before the surgery. The next day I had the surgery and there were no problems. My wife went back to China to be with the children and teach here class. The family support here is the best. Everyone has pitched in to help with my children and taken care of my classroom, too. 4 Months and Counting…. December 5, 2015. It’s hard to believe that we have been in China for 4 months and the school year is flying by at a rapid pace. February 10, 2016. It is hard to believe that we have been in China for 6 months. It only seems like yesterday that we just got off the airplane and where hit with 90 percent humidity and 90 degree temperatures! The first part of the school year has flown by so fast that it’s hard to remember what the first day was like, I remember half day! Faster Than Light…. May 1, 2016. Well, they have said or I have read it some where, that when you start a blog it is usually hot at the beginning and tappers off as you go on your adventure. January 1, 2017. This year has gone by so fast it doesn’t feel like we have been here for 2 years and we will be here for a third year! We return to school tomorrow and then get another break for Chinese New Year. This will last for a week and a half. After that break there is only like one three day weekend and one four day week in the mix until we get out of school in June. But it all should fly by really fast, I hope. We had a great Christmas this year! This was short and sweet. That is nice to know.
