Broom Sales: Spring and Fall. The purpose of the Broom Sale is to sell brooms made by the Blind Industries of Pittsburgh that provides employment to visually impaired people and to provide exposure of the Lions Club within the community. The Lions run several booths at the annual Chippewa Volunteer Fireman’s. Setting up the pan game for another night of fun. Lions Olayer and Tonsetic introduce a customer to "a game of skill and chance". Lion Lamey does his "barker" act to entice customers. Mother's Day Rose Sale. 1 Dozen Long Stemmed Red Roses (boxed). Or to place an order. 2011 Mother's Day: May 8th. The annual rose sale will be held May 6, 7, 2011. The Lions again will sell at least 225 dozen roses to raise money to support community activities. The sale wii include presale orders that are delivered on Friday and Saturday by the Lions. Lion Mark Platz picks up his preorder roses and prepares to make his deliveries. Be sure to stop by and get your dozen roses for that special Mom.
