Dienstag, 6. Mai 2014. Nz to Tonga 8. Ein weiterer wunderbarer Segeltag. Der Wind hat etwas nachgelassen, nur mehr ca. 15 Knoten, also fast perfekte Bedingungen. Der Zeitplan fuer die Ankunft passt auch gut falls alles so bleibt. Lt. Vorhersage soll der Wind ein wenig mehr nach Osten drehen, was meiner Kursplanung entgegen kommt. Die Fische machen mir dafuer das Leben schwer. In den Letzten 2 Tagen habe ich 5 grosse Fische verloren, aber nur 3 Koeder. Soll ich das jetzt als Positivum ansehen?

Donnerstag, 17. Juli 2014. Das ist noch ein Nachtrag aus Tonga, dort war das Inernet so schlecht dass es nicht gereicht hat zum Hochladen. In der Früh wird das Dingi ins Wasser gelassen und bei Niedrigwasser geht es zur Insel Kapa. Viele Korallenköpfe machen das Anlanden zu einer Slalomfahrt. Zu sehen wie die wirklich leben, was sie haben, was die Kinder machen, die Haustiere, das ganze rundherum ums Haus, da kriegt man schon einen anderen Eindruck. Diesen Post per E-Mail versenden.

Donnerstag, 4. September 2014. Wie kommt man auf die Idee sich neue Ruder fürs Boot zu bauen solange die alten noch passabel ausschauen? Leider eben nur auf den Ersten Blick ok sind. Bei genauerer Betrachtung sieht die Sache nicht mehr so gut aus. Bereits vor mehr als 2 Jahren, als das Boot in den Tuamotus an Land stand, bemerkte ich sehr starke Ablösungen und Kraterbildungen am 50mm Voll Aluminium Schaft. Also einziger Ausweg – neue Ruder selber bauen. Ich habe mich dafür entschieden Halbschalen zu baue...
