Tuesday, November 28, 2006. The Spotlight plugin is ready and here is the prof. Soon all NMR spectra will be indexed (effortlessly) and searchable. If you have already seen Spotlight you know what I mean. Posted by old swan @ 11:49 PM. Friday, November 24, 2006. Possibly a graphic interface that hides the complexity of the terminal to the average Mac user. Just like the plug-in, it can be written by any volunteer, it must not necessarily reside inside an NMR application. I am also going to write ...You u...

NMR software: October 2006
http://nmr-software.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 31, 2006. When I did not invent the scissors. And I liked the idea. I added a specialized tool into my new program. Picking it with the mouse, the user could hide one or two intermediate empty regions of a spectrum. The action was obviously reversible. At any time the user could have returned to the full spectral width. When I began printing and distributing fragmented spectra the reaction was natural: the receiver remained with the doubt that I had hidden or forgotten a peak. The parado...

Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Of these products can be found on the Sparky web site, at the University of California, San Francisco. Unfortunately a good number of links are broken (call it darwinian selection; NMR-software paleontology has already become a rich subject). You can start using the program from day 1, but it will take days to become proficient with it. Sparky comes with a number of Python extensions and more can be added, of course. Mastering all of them is probably useless, but mas...It's ...

NMR software: June 2007
http://nmr-software.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 29, 2007. In the past years there has been confusion, on the internet at least, about: what had happened to gNMR? You can still find the old home page; using Google, you arrive at this description. On the "Adept Scientific" site, but if you search gNMR inside the Adept store itself (for example: to read the price tag) it says that no such product exists. Adept discontinued its marketing in May 2005. The author, Prof. Peter H.M. Budzelaar. Then read the license. Posted by old swan @ 12:08 PM.

NMR software: March 2007
http://nmr-software.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 11, 2007. Few years ago the presentations of two new NMR programs appeared on the web. What they had in common was elegance and the desire to amaze the chemist. This couple of examples demonstrate that, in 2005, there were some companies trying to write modern and innovative products. Contains two videos of the "dataChord Spectrum Analyst" in action. It generates lists of NMR data already formatted for publication inside articles or patents. Posted by old swan @ 11:37 AM. What I Don't Like.
