I continue to plug away on the final chapter (boy that sounds good! Time will tell of course, but for now, I’ll just be thrilled with getting this dissertation completed and my degree, finally, under my belt! Weinbrecht Corner: August 2006
http://weinbrechtcorner.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 20, 2006. We decided to take advantage of some glorious Pacific Northwest weather and get some yard projects done. I did this patio and the planting in this front bed, a project I've been waiting to do for two years! I have before (way before! Pictures as well as after, though the before pictures don't do justice to just how crappy the bed was getting to look! Anyway, here's my masterpiece! It will look even better as I get more planted around it:. Note the little poodle at the window.).

Vignettes of Natural Chaos. I find places in nature that appear chaotic: a roadside hill of dead leaves and new vines, plants falling over the side of a weathered parking lot wall, rocks and plants on the side of a mountain, each with its own set of chaotic attributes that I find fascinating. These pieces are large, mystical; a peek into the chaotic flow of natural phenomena that contain their own unique kinds of order.
