Mud Pies and Blue Skies: June 2012
http://underagibbousmoon.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
A family life in Cornwall. Friday, 29 June 2012. A little a-lotting Part 1. Reckon this is a fab look for me. Bit clunky I know, but it's the best I can do today. I've been doing a little on the allotment which means I usually have just about enough time to get covered in mud before being summoned back home to feed baby lula. Hence the quick-change overalls. Sexy, I know. Pretty little things, but I don't know what they are! How I wish the allotment looked (complete with help)*. Creeping buttercup looks ...

Mud Pies and Blue Skies: Hope
http://underagibbousmoon.blogspot.com/2013/01/hope.html
A family life in Cornwall. Monday, 14 January 2013. We finally had some sunny days at last. We made the most of it, spent a lot of Sunday at the beach with all the other smiley folk and their dogs liberated from their rained-in indoors lives. Jess had her first go on a proper bike without stabilisers which I'd picked up a few weeks back on Freecycle and was full of her achievement! A stray ray of sun striking my heart! Still aiming for June. And on a slightly random note, I was admiring this jar of macar...

http://underagibbousmoon.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
A family life in Cornwall. Friday, 14 December 2012. Two hours without kids. One finished phone case! Off to bed now :-). Links to this post. Labels: felt phone case. Slowly getting it together. So here is a sample of the gifts I've finally starting making for Christmas. Squirrel and acorn coaster. I am working from my lovely new book 'Super-Cute Felt' by Laura Howard of Lupin Handmade, who has a blog over at Bugs and Fishes. Jess played an angel in her nativity play, which was really lovely. I was too b...

Mud Pies and Blue Skies: November 2012
http://underagibbousmoon.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
A family life in Cornwall. Thursday, 29 November 2012. Painty, stitchy glueyness. Oooh, it's been awfully stitchy, painty and gluey round here lately in preparation for Milly's monster party this weekend. This lovely fellow has been hanging around our hall waiting for "Pin the Eye on the Monster":. He's made out of a piece of MDF painted by me with acrylic paint and then cut out by Jude. here are the eyes:. And this one's my favourite (I'm keeping him for myself! A few weeks ago I knocked up this little ...

Mud Pies and Blue Skies: WOW
http://underagibbousmoon.blogspot.com/2013/02/wow.html
A family life in Cornwall. Friday, 8 February 2013. A finished quilt top (despite promising myself not to start anything new till the damn blanket. S finished - gah! This is the Sunshine Quilt, which I've promised to Milly, as she's next in line for one despite it's huge size. Also finished the back for it as well, so now I just need to go and buy the middle! And I've decided to quilt it with simple diagonal rows, so hopefully I'll get it finished pretty quickly. You can hear Jude sighing in the backgrou...

Mud Pies and Blue Skies: Projects
http://underagibbousmoon.blogspot.com/p/projects.html
A family life in Cornwall. Hand-pieced, hand stitched and to be hand-quilted. Needless to say, an ongoing project. Sunshine Quilt - started 1st Feb, completed 12th February 2013. A present for my Mother-in-law, this blanket took much longer than anticipated to finish! At time of writing still just over half a strip to knit. Conquering the first square. Starting to sew strips together. I love reading your comments, thank you for taking the time to write ♥. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our primary reason fo...

Mud Pies and Blue Skies: a rather random catch-up
http://underagibbousmoon.blogspot.com/2013/06/a-rather-random-catch-up.html
A family life in Cornwall. Wednesday, 12 June 2013. A rather random catch-up. Been a while huh? I've been slowly making things inbetween children things and the endless moving of stuff round the house from one place to another in some sort of effort of tidying which seems futile at best. This is the latest piece, which I'm pleased with: I wanted to call it something like sunshine dancing through the flowers but that seemed a bit too silly. It's definitely a joyful, happy piece though! Obviously most peop...

Mud Pies and Blue Skies: July 2012
http://underagibbousmoon.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
A family life in Cornwall. Monday, 30 July 2012. While you were sleeping. These little creatures have all been sitting in my sewing basket for six months waiting for my attention. Baby's foot had fallen off, Ellie's ear was hanging by a thread and little Bear had lost an eye. Links to this post. Sunday, 29 July 2012. Brentor Church, rocks and the sofa coming home. Imagine coming out of a church service to this view! Someone from the village climbs the hill every morning to put fresh flowers inside. Satur...
