Its that time of year again for the Australian Open. Its such a fun event! You can get tickets for all days admission to the grounds and outer courts for just $30, so I took Noah around one day and he had a lot of fun. The Outback/The "Red Centre"/Northern Territory/Uluru. My mom and I spent a few days up in the Outback, with lots of adventures and special sights, as seen in the (way too) many photos below. Uluru/Ayers Rock from the air. The (Red) Centre of Australia. Look closely in the next two photos- do you see the people hiking up Uluru? With a teeny tiny chain to hold on to? Uluru at sunset. The rock is amazing in all the different colors it changes to throughout the day. The first light of day hits the rock.

We carved our pumpkins last night, on Halloween eve. Since its spring here, and sometimes quite warm, the pumpkins rot very quickly if carved too far in advance. Noah drew the "face" on the pumpkin and we carved it for him. He loved seeing the candles in them on the front veranda, and wanted to sit out there (in his "mummy" pajamas no less) with them all evening! Posted by Family Down Under. Posted by Family Down Under. Cinco de Mayo fiesta. We'll take any excuse to throw a great party. So, Cino de Mayo it is.Ole! With 22 adults and 20 children under 5 it was pure mayhem, but oh so fabulous. My life just wouldn't be as spicy without these regular doses of fabulous chaos. Our exellent caterers, Rebecca and Gary who owns High Tech Burrito restaurant. They made it a delicious day. Noah had a fabulous, fun-filled birthday that somehow lasted all weekend. He had a few cakes, several visitors, chocolate pancakes for breakfast at his request, a sushi dinner at his request, 2 dozen balloons awaiting him in the living room birthday morning, and a big party on Sunday with lots and lots of friends.
