Friday, July 10, 2009. A special person who we will miss dearly. So, I think that's part of the reason some of us are so shocked that he's gone. Even though I knew how sick he really was and Eric and I knew and talked about this day coming, it didn't prepare us for the reality of it. I just can't imagine the Schweig ...

The Schweig Family Scrapbook. Sunday, January 15, 2012. When one thing ends, another begins. Wellwhere do I start? It's been a crazy ride the past 6-9 months.Let me try and condense it. Most of you who know us know that our family was deeply involved in a church named Parkway since about 2005. It was our home, our family, pretty much most of our life. I loved the "hospitality" team and served with my small group girls. We would come, once a month and prepare and serve food and drinks to the people at...

As the majority of you know, we adopted our sweet Mia from Vietnam in July of 2006, after the program had been shut down for 2 years because of corruption. Now, Vietnam is closed again to any new adoptions for the same reason and nobody has any idea of when they will open back up. It is just so hard to swallow. So, here is a blog that I found on this sub...

The Schweig Family Scrapbook. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Is it Fall Yet? I can't believe it's been 6 months since I last wrote. I don't know how time is going by SO fast, it's quite scary to be honest. We swam almost every day or found something to do inside. Mia is a little fish! She loves to jump in, and constantly swims underwater. She doesn't like to swim above the water, it's so funny! I thought maybe we'd have her join the swim team this year, but we didnt' end up doing it so maybe next year?
