Chloe's Gardens

Musings of a Gardener in Victoria, Australia, as she moves from one garden to another. Saturday, January 30, 2016. DOES THIS BLOG STILL WORK? Yes, I do believe it does. Must get back one day. Here is a pic in the meantime. Bed 1 in December. Posted by Linda at 5:09 PM. Monday, January 05, 2015. January is here - and so are the mozzies. We have had one hot day over 40 degrees, but apart from that, it has been mild and occasionally damp in Gippsland, Victoria. It is time for the Garden Share Collective.

Chloe's Gardens: October 2005

http://chloesgarden.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html

Musings of a Gardener in Victoria, Australia, as she moves from one garden to another. Monday, October 31, 2005. The Twisted Watsonias are out in flower - I love seeing what original sculpture these make each year. Posted by Linda at 10:51 PM. Saturday, October 29, 2005. Tulip Tree in Flower. And my Tulip tree ( Liriodenron. Or similar spelling) is in flower. I love these flowers, about two inches each across, and very primitive. You have to look hard to see them on the tree. Chloe's Gardens: June 2005

http://chloesgarden.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html

Musings of a Gardener in Victoria, Australia, as she moves from one garden to another. Tuesday, June 21, 2005. Today is the Winter Solstice - and my first Algerian Iris came out yesterday:. And, while I am here, can anyone identify this small tree. It comes up everywhere, but I like it. Reminds me of Dinosaurs etc:. It is coming into flower at the moment. Posted by Linda at 7:42 PM. Tuesday, June 07, 2005. Posted by Linda at 5:56 PM. Saturday, June 04, 2005. So there is now mild colour in the crategus, a...

Chloe's Gardens: Iris Time

http://chloesgarden.blogspot.com/2014/11/iris-time.html

Musings of a Gardener in Victoria, Australia, as she moves from one garden to another. Saturday, November 01, 2014. It is Iris time. I think mine seem to be best every second year. This is one of my favourites, above. Very vigorous and pure white.Taller than everything else. This one hasn't flowered yet this year - but there are late buds. And this one is one the way out. The stems are so weak they always need staking - and I am not sure I like the colour combination anyway. Posted by Linda at 12:39 PM.

Chloe's Gardens: July in the Garden

Musings of a Gardener in Victoria, Australia, as she moves from one garden to another. Sunday, July 06, 2014. July in the Garden. It is that time of month again, when gardeners across the country, and across the world, report on their activities, as part of the Garden Share Collective. This is kindly hosted by Liz at Strayed from the Table. There is a new link-thingy at the bottom of THIS POST. Where you can browse the lot. You can see my last month's report HERE. There is now a Facebook page. Plans: Bun...

Chloe's Gardens: February 2005

http://chloesgarden.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html

Musings of a Gardener in Victoria, Australia, as she moves from one garden to another. Monday, February 28, 2005. The Witch's Broomstick is getting to be a bit more normal-sized. But I still haven't pinned down a name for it. Posted by Linda at 9:45 AM. Sunday, February 27, 2005. I am wondering if anyone can assist me with an identification for this plant - which I think. Is a Lily, but I am unsure. This one has a slight pink tinge, but the one I have at home never reaches this size, and is all white.

Googie's Garden: September 2005

http://googiesgarden.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html

Story of a garden, a gardener and a way of life. Thursday, September 29, 2005. Have been cutting up the blouses bit by bit whenever I have a spare moment. What was once a hideous dress is now beautiful pieces of fabric. I am about one third of the way through. I have done the most fancy ones first and now getting to the stage of "why did I want this one? Or "should I or shouldn't I cut this up? Posted by Googs @ 6:59 PM. Sunday, September 25, 2005. Midday in the Garden of Good and Evil: November 2005

http://crotchetygardener.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html

Midday in the Garden of Good and Evil. Living the gardening life on a suburban block in Sydney, Australia. As I head toward my dotage I prefer to let the garden have it's head, that way it continually surprises me. Plants pop up where least expected and I sit in the sun with a cup of coffee and watch it all happen. When there is not enough gardening to write about I've added our Sunday drives under Travels Around Sydney. Wednesday, November 16, 2005. Travel: Eden Garden Centre and Mother Earth. This one ...
