I quickly replayed the horrible monologue of the also-a-dentist husband of my regular dentist, and the words "crown lengthening procedure" flashed back ominously. Is a crown lengthening procedure? According to a dentist friend (whom I don't go to- you don't let your friends look inside your mouths, right? Crown lengthening is a procedure which involves the removal of gum tissue, bone or both. ING GUM and BONE.
