ReWired for Sound: 05.2009
http://rewiredforsound.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
The only good warranty is one that's been voided. If any of you keep up to tabs on my twitter, almost a week ago I installed Ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty jackalope) on an old pIII donated to me by my father in law. It's got under 400mb of memory, a painfully slow proccessor, and I'm sure would crumble under the pressure of any windows distro. I've never really used a 'nix distro actually installed on a machine. I've played with pureDyne. Mounting drives is now as easy as plugging them in. My only issue now is tha...

The only good warranty is one that's been voided. OK, so we got some slight template issues . I'm going to be working on them and should'nt be a problem soon. Dizzy Woosh @ Fallout Shelter Quasi-Review. Over the weekend I stopped by 'Fallout Shelter' in Aliquippa, Pa to see my friend's band ' Dizzy Woosh. Which is a 7 peice outfit consisting of drums, accordion, guitar (x2), bass, banjo, and percussion. A line-up that reminds me of an old joke "What do you call perfect pitch? TED - Classical Music.

The only good warranty is one that's been voided. Hey, I've been playing with flash and fourier, and some other random Music-Related Math. Check this out:. This SWF Generates notes in the chromatic scale, in the range of about 2 or 3 octaves. The sound wave is seven degrees of fourier series saw-tooth, and it has a little decay added to it so it's more bleepy than ambient. If you wanna peep at the source code, here it is. Any periodic function, like those saw-tooth, triangle, square waves,. Binary form, ...

Concretedog: olympus trip 35
http://concretedog.blogspot.com/2014/10/olympus-trip-35.html
Friday, 3 October 2014. Mine however had the common stuck aperture syndrome that lots of these have so I had to completely strip down the lens and rebuild which was entertaining (my best tip is to mark a line on the body and then mark every piece you remove lined up with the body mark so you can rebuild the lens with everything in the right place! There's some good instructions/advice about stripping down the trip 35 here. I am pretty pleased with them.(double click to view larger). A small tag in bangor.

Concretedog: January 2014
http://concretedog.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 25 January 2014. Hand cranked drill - a quick restoration. So I stripped it down, cleaned it up and gave it a few licks of paint with the airbrush as I've picked up a cheap compressor and am getting to grips with airbrushing on various little jobs like this. At some point in it's life someone has hacked a great lump of the main drive gear and "turned" (with a file in a vice! Will have to mount it to a base at some point but all in all I'm pleased how it's turned out. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Saturday, 30 November 2013. 130 story Syra Chapter 1. So for the last few months give or take a few days I have been taking part in an excellent twitter based caper called @130story. Is a twitter account that very kindly each day suggests a word to all the people following the account and you have to write a 130 character story tweet based around the word tagging @130story. On the end which makes it the full 140 character twitter limit. (you can find the full rules here). For the next chapter! She actual...

Concretedog: More Shed antics
http://concretedog.blogspot.com/2015/01/more-shed-antics.html
Sunday, 25 January 2015. I also did another quick project out of the harold hall book today, I made a pair of parallels. Up until now whenever I've needed parallels I've always just used a couple of pieces cut from the same bar stock but I have some projects coming up which will require a bit more accuracy. You then machine across the 2 diameters attached to the angle plate just enough that you have a flat section across the face of them. This face should be exactly at 90 degrees to the cutting face.
