Kate and Terry-Travels in Cholula Red. Thoughts and musings as we travel in our Lazy Daze Motorhome. Saturday, July 28, 2012. When I was quite young, we lived near the Rose Garden in San Jose. Not far from the Rose Garden is the Rosicrucian Museum, the largest repository of authentic Egyptian artifacts in the western United States. Not having visited in many years, we decided it was time to pay a visit. If you'd like, click on any image for a larger version. Here's the entrance to the Museum. Now on to m...

Kate and Terry-Travels in Cholula Red. Thoughts and musings as we travel in our Lazy Daze Motorhome. Saturday, March 28, 2009. Spring Cleaning Part 2. I woke up this morning to this . . . Realizing that I had another day of reorganizing the rig, this brightened my spirits considerably. Several hours later (much of it spent on the floor, scrutinizing the undersides of our fridge) we can now say the we intimately understand the inner workings of the drawers in our Lazy Daze! Hey, I have some closets that n...

Kate and Terry-Travels in Cholula Red. Thoughts and musings as we travel in our Lazy Daze Motorhome. Monday, April 30, 2012. I absolutely LOVE Balsamic Vinegar, there's just nothing else like it in the whole wide world. That said, it can be expensive, but so worth it. Still, the really good stuff isn't always available, so I'm going to let you in on a secret. When you have a Balsamic that is just ok, but missing that deep flavor of the better brands, you can reduce it! Slice your tomatoes and your cheese...

Kate and Terry-Travels in Cholula Red. Thoughts and musings as we travel in our Lazy Daze Motorhome. Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Just a few pics. Yeah, I know, I hardly ever post any more. I haven't been out shooting in forever. I seem to be stuck on the idea that if I don't "go somewhere" There isn't anything to take pictures of. So, I got the camera out and went for a short walk, not really very far. The following are my favorites. All have been cropped, photoshopped, etc. It was a bit damp. If so, you ca...

Kate and Terry-Travels in Cholula Red. Thoughts and musings as we travel in our Lazy Daze Motorhome. Sunday, September 30, 2012. I've had several emails asking what we're up to . . . Not a lot, but we are getting healthy, eating lots of veggies and fruit and other yummies. We're particularly enjoying the Vitamix, making lots of smoothies. We're also reaping the benefits of a friends humungous garden, lots of incredibly sweet vine ripened tomatoes and squash. Here's what we eat at least twice a week.

http://cholulared.blogspot.com/2008/11/solar-cooking.html
Kate and Terry-Travels in Cholula Red. Thoughts and musings as we travel in our Lazy Daze Motorhome. Saturday, November 8, 2008. Some time ago I asked readers if anyone had any information or experience with solar cookers. I'm sorry to say, I got NO HELP from readers. Now I know I don't have a great number of readers, but I find it hard to believe that none of you have any experience with solar cookers! Oh well, left to my own devices again . . . So I placed my order and it came within a couple of days.

Kate and Terry-Travels in Cholula Red. Thoughts and musings as we travel in our Lazy Daze Motorhome. Thursday, March 19, 2009. I love my solar oven. The longer I have it, the more I recognize it's value and efficiency. When you first try solar cooking, it's kind of a lark. You're amazed that it really works, and experimenting with different recipes is a whole new adventure. Now you do have to have a solar oven, but there are tons of options, from ones made from a simple reflective wind shield guard to gl...
