Thursday, September 28, 2006. In August of 2006, we dropped off our daughter and only child off at a North Carolina University for the start of her freshman year. Tuesday, October 03, 2006. The Red Dot Calendar. When we dropped off our daughter at college in August, we went to an empty nesters. Seminar hosted by a therapist and her husband. There were over 500 parents in attendance. During this event, the therapist recommended that helicopter parents. Tuesday, October 10, 2006. There is nothing more exhausting then Parents Weekend for two alleged helicopter parents or chopper parents. I will admit that I was looking forward to this weekend for sometime which included tickets to a major Division I football game.
