About us and our nuts. Our farm is unique. Unlike conventional orchards that harvest onto the ground, we harvest some of our trees manually with poles and rubber sledge hammers. The rest of the trees are harvested with a hydro-mechanical shaker. However, all of the trees’ nuts are knocked and shaken onto tarps. This virtually eliminates any chance of salmonella. What Does Certified Organic Mean? In a nutshell, Organic Certification verifies our almonds are produced WITHOUT:. Genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Harmful or toxic pesticides or petroleum-based synthetic fertilizers. Sewage sludge or radiation. Who are we certified by? YCOA) YCOA was created and inspired by the community it serves: local growers and consumers. The certification standards used by YCOA are the USDA's National Organic Program. YCOA is a USDA accredited certification agency.

These almonds are truly raw and unpasteurized, very tasty and healthy! I normally use nonpareil (sweeter) variety for orders 13 lbs or less and 50% nonpareil and 50% Monterey (separated) for larger orders. Monterey is very similar to non pareil.
