I think the most striking line in Act 2 of Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice is when Lancelot tricks his own father and gives him very confusing directions to Shylock’s house. It is extremely funny because Lancelot’s father doesn’t realize that it was his own son who was talking to him. These lines shows how Lancelot is very mischievous and funny. Any major criminal offense would be an inexcusable flaw, and one that would alter my perception of people I admire. I remembered a teacher who was fired from teaching after he let a group of middle school students drink alcohol on a school-sponsored trip. While not a major criminal offense, under aged drinking is something that should be taken seriously. A thoughtful and interesting response.
