Saturday, July 31, 2010. 2 tbsps. cooking oil. 1 tbsp. crushed garlic. 2 tbsps. sliced ginger. 1/4 cup sliced onion. 1/2 kg. pork liempo cut 2" thick. 1/4 cup MAGGI Savor Adobo. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1/4 tsp. freshly cracked peppercorn. 1 tbsp. sugar. 2 pieces star anise. Heat oil, saute garlic, ginger and onion until limp. Stir in pork and cook let fry for 5 minutes or until pork changes in color. Pour in vinegar and bring to boil before stirring. Season with the next four ingredients, simmer for 10 minutes.

Pork and Veggie Sautè. 3 cloves garlic, crushed. 1 pc small onion, sliced. 1/4 kg pork pigue, cut into chunks. 1 pc pork bouillon cube. 1 pouch Del Monte Filipino Style Tomato Sauce. 150 g carrot, sliced. 1/4 kg cabbage, sliced. Sautè garlic, onion, pork and bouillon cube. Add Del Monte tomato sauce, 1/2 tsp iodized salt (0r 1/2 tbsp iodized rock salt) and 1 cup water. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add carrot and simmer for 5 minutes. Add cabbage then simmer for 3 minutes.

Clean the squid, remove the head, ink sacs and tentacles discarded, outer purple skin peeled off and do not cut squid open. Slice squid into 1/2 inch rings.
