Saturday, July 4, 2015. Starting to change them. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. I surprised them, and myself. I find it extremely funny that I have been surprising the colleagues here. Though I am an experienced teacher, they didn't think that I was going to be a very able teacher. Or perhaps they just haven't encountered many teachers like me. And there ARE many, eh, Sib? So where am I going with this? I guess, I am not that much of an average teacher afterall. I have done things many have not thought to do.

Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Been a while . so many things. I have a lot to update actually, but I have not had the time or the mood to update. Too many things have happened over the last month or so. My emotions went on a roller coaster ride. I went to Shanghai and back. My work got all piled up and I could hardly breathe. Where do I even start? Okay, I will update about the reason why my emotions went haywire. There were several reasons but . I will start with one. I chose not to believe.

The fear of failure can be so crippling that it causes one to just freeze and not look at the possibility of a light at the end of the tunnel. Failure is something many people are fearful of. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. I realise it has been an entire month of silence. My apologies. Then back to work. It was hard. Trying to get back into the routine was an unbelievable struggle after that week of quiet bliss. Remembering the noise and problems that come with boisterous, highly strung children locked in a space of 30' x 30' was enough to wear me out. Could it be that God has put us together for a reason? Could it be that she came to support me emotionally, so that I feel less lonely?

Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Of late, I have realised that job satisfaction has taken a dip. Having said that, a door opened to me in the light of this dip and having tested the water, I quite like what I see and have decided to focus my energy in this new direction. After all, if my heart isn't in it fully, I don't work at my optimum level. Perhaps with this change, I will see better returns, be appreciated more and find myself useful to society after all. Saturday, February 15, 2014. The last month has been hectic, yet refreshing; crazy, yet memorable - a month full of new experiences and yet it felt like deja vu. I was blessed with 2 wonderful student teachers to mentor and after 4 weeks they have left a chasm in my routine. Hailing from the land down under, they brought with them freshness and enthusiasm laced with the niggling fears any student teacher would naturally face if not for the fact that they were thousands of miles from home.
