On Saturday, 17 July 2010. In true English fashion, we celebrated Paddy's day with a night out in Queenstown. Donning silly green hats and shamrock facepaint we headed to 'Buffalo Club' where I won a $50 bar tab simply for having luscious ginger hair. I also won another $50 bar tab for winning the 'ginger nut' eating contest :) Get in! After we had to head back to the house.but not fancying the long walk up Fernhill (killer mountain walk! And then we hit the town for one last messy night Queenstown style.

On Thursday, 2 September 2010. Home to a huge fig tree, lakes, waterfalls and perhaps most importantly, the set location where Peter Andre filmed Mysterious Girl.as if that doesn't have the tourists flocking! We even saw our first wild snake here – not bad considering Len had only been here a few days. It wasn't a scary one though – a big carpet python, totally harmless, and it was sound asleep! Little Lenny comes to play! On Thursday, 2 September 2010. After delays and more delays finally it was the moment we'd all been waiting for, Little Lenny had come out to play! It was a reunion of the party corner (almost). After a few days in Cairns while we were waiting for Ronnie to finish getting fixed up we hit the road. Little Lenny comes to play! On Thursday, 12 November 2009. The walk up to the glacier was pretty impressive in itself, you walk through a really long valley made up of glacier debris with bright blue glacier pools, and the glacier was huuuge! It was fenced off though, and looked pretty dangerous to try and get any closer so we just enjoyed it from the distance. The day after the brewery tour we picked up our first hitchhiker (technically not a hitchhiker but someone we met the night before! And headed south towards to Hokitika.

Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation. On Tuesday, 12 October 2010. Onwards and upwards to go as far north as we could on the east coast – Cape Tribulation. But first we stopped off in Port Douglas – which was a gorgeous little town – very quaint – and where Drea had spent so long when she was out in Australia (all those eons ago! Cape Trib was pretty amazing – I even got peed on by a bat – but the creepy crawlies proved too much for us, so we headed back down to safer territory ASAP. The Down Under Diary.

On Thursday, 13 January 2011. Beautiful sunsets, gorgeous beaches, amazing wildlife, and a pretty good night scene.
