The Parnell Family: April 2014
http://wayneandashley.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Charlotte's school parties are always so much fun. Her class hunted Easter eggs and then went back to the classroom for snacks, a story, and a craft. She and her friends are so cute together! And this cute outfit is one that Auntie Carrie saw at Crazy 8 when she was shopping for Pearce. She called me and said I HAD to go get it for Charlotte. Good call Carrie! A Little Too Relaxed. Who is going to pick up after him? What do we do with him when we go on trips? Then he goes on an...

The Harkey Blog: January 2005
http://harkey.blogspot.com/2005_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 29, 2005. For those of you who haven't been around me much, I should let you know that I am a task-oriented person. The rest of you already knew that, so we can continue from there. It's hard for me to slow down, put down the palm and just enjoy my kids sometimes, even though I love them deeply. Also, can I just say that Maitlyn and Elspeth have been playing together so well lately! It amazes me how much they really enjoy being together. Posted by at 8:06 PM. However nice this is, Allis...

The Harkey Blog: Unhurried
http://harkey.blogspot.com/2011/09/unhurried.html
Friday, September 16, 2011. Today was a good, slow day. I relish days without rushing. Those days tend to be less productive in terms of sheer numbers of tasks completed. However, they are far more peaceful and usually more conducive to building and maintaining relationships. After that we spent about an hour and a half exploring the CSU Trial Garden. The girls drew in their nature journals, examined flowers, watched bees, called to me, "Mom, come look! Posted by at 10:18 PM. The Harkeys live in Fort Col...

The Harkey Blog: Bell Ringing
http://harkey.blogspot.com/2010/12/bell-ringing.html
Tuesday, December 14, 2010. We're all familiar with the Salvation Army bell ringers. We see them every time we go to the store during November and December. The girls love to put coins in the kettle whenever possible. Don't your kids? Throughout this whole project, it's been cool to see our girls' creativity and initiative as well as their desire to do something to make a difference in the world. They are on the road to being world-changers someday. Posted by at 4:59 PM. The life of hirsch.

Friday, November 26, 2004. Thanksgiving - the other white meat. Thanskgiving is an interesting holiday. As a kid, I didn’t care about the food, I just liked getting out of school. It also signaled the beginning of the Christmas season, so I definitely liked that. There is so much more that I am thankful for. These things are just a small scratch on the surface. It is the day to give thanks. It is my aim to do just that. Posted by at 11:44 AM. Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving stories! Well, not exactly.
