Sunday, December 23, 2012. Party for the Sheepies! Jamie is into sheep right now so we got to be creative and threw her a sheep party. She picked out this special mylar balloon because it had a sheep on it.of course! We played pin the tail on the sheep. Jamie had her two best friends over. When she finished unwrapping the presents she said, "That's it? She forgot that she chose to open the family gifts on her real birthday. Brandon did a most excellent job on the cake! the darkening horizon: Today: Minor Chords
http://bicicletaphilia.blogspot.com/2014/11/today-minor-chords.html
Sunday, November 23, 2014. Fast forward a decade and a half, amidst the gloom of another Seattle winter, I realized I needed some sort of distraction. Mike Ward, a good friend and a consummate musician, lent me a guitar and some good advice on self-directed learning. This approach to learning an instrument is. Recognizing this, Rachael spent a few minutes futilely attempting to explain the beauty of minor chords in terms that someone with my unsophisticated musical sensibilities could understand. Finally...

Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Tiger Mountain on The Trance. Shortly before losing my front fender on Tiger in early April. I’m getting this post up a little late, but it’s going up! Or so help me. Now that Tiger is open year round (with a few exceptions) and with all the crazy weather we’ve had this year, we were able to ride Tiger in mid-February. Dry and green at 3,000' in mid-February. Just finishing the "Fully Rigid" section of the trail in February. This was not actually taken the day of the subject ride.

Sunday, October 27, 2013. Sunday, October 27, 2013. Saturday, October 19, 2013. Guess who turned 8 this year! We were pleased to host grandparents and cousins for Caitin's baptism and birthday celebration. To begin with, I present TROUBLE:. The baptism went well. Caitin was gorgeous in her white dress. The good news was that we only had to dunk her once! After the service, we took over the gym for a little piñata bash! Although, Ralph needs no teaching. Thanks for coming everyone!

Sunday, February 24, 2013. After church today, Caitin did her own hair. It started as a simple ponytail, but as she and Jamie commenced to play dress-up it gained some pizzaz! Sunday, February 24, 2013. Friday, February 22, 2013. Sarah's been busy lately. We're on the final stretch with the basement, which means it's all in her court. Which means I get bossed around even more than normal. It works good for us. And in the spare bedroom we painted it "Navajo White". Friday, February 22, 2013. Sarah found t...

Saturday, February 26, 2011. Today: My Secret Addiction. In spite of a Christian upbringing and the example of good parents, I have these proclivities, these tendencies. It’s no use denying it. On occasion I succumb to a weakness that would shame my parents. If the people with whom I work knew my dark secret, conditions in the office would become intolerable, and for good reason. Boise Howells: March 2011
http://boisehowells.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 18, 2011. Adventure at Moreton Island. After the dolphins left, the crew pulled out the Net Boom. They throw a big heavy net behind the boat and those who wanted to get in the water put on a life jacket and climbed down onto the net. When everyone was in place, the boat would speed up. It was cool, refreshing and very salty. After getting back on board an hour later, we headed over to some old "wrecks" that were placed in the water to create a barrier. It was SNORKELING time!
