Sunday, May 11, 2014. Halloween ghouls (girls)–October 2013. Shots of our collective girls all done up on and around the big day. Littlest hula dancer – complete with coconuts! Fairy princess ladybug and ladybug girl. Maggie’s witch costume malfunctioned on her school party day, giving her a giant rash on her torso and Dave aced a pinch-hit by having her come up with an alternative for the big day…while I was in Orlando, hanging with Maggie's hero at the Lego store! Friday, May 23, 2014. St Sidell visit–November 2013–part 1. Greg and Amy braved the trip again for us to have a week of LOTS of yummy food (thanksgiving dinner, homemade pho, and takeout Mexican, Thai and pizza) and tons of quality cousin time. Sunday, September 29, 2013. Last year, we discovered PBS’s Word Girl! A great girl-hero cartoon. Every time we’d put it on for the girls, they couldn’t help but sing the opening song: “Word up, it’s Word Girl…” and Maggie couldn’t help be dance/move to the depictions. SO CUTE. It’s Word Girl”. Sunday, March 30, 2014. St Pierre camping trip–August 2013. Monday, May 5, 2014. The girls’ getting older means many of the obvious things – having to let Maggie practice brushing her teeth, Zoe tying her shoes – but there are a few things that came along this year that I didn’t really see coming. October was pretty stellar, weather-wise, and Sundays are a great time for girl time, so when the two converged (good weather girl time), I decided we should try something new: a bike ride outside of the ‘hood. First, the Shoreline Children’s Center fall harvest party and book sale – it’s a quaint little fundraiser/open house/pot luck/community gathering that we’ve managed to hit since starting at the center. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. I know, we have a lot of Christmas in our family, but it’s great. I think it makes what would otherwise be a dark, dull and cold time of year, warm and bright. Kid cuteness in the mix helps make the cheer go round, too. First gift @ bedtime from mom and dad. Can’t forget to trim the tiny trees. And in the morning…. Do you see anything for you, girls?
