Sunday, August 10, 2014. We decided to make a weekend trip to New York. Seeing how it is only a three hour drive, it was doable. The skyline driving in. Battery park, with the statue of liberty behind us. Ryder not looking. We went to the 911 memorial. It was pretty amazing. The only tree that survived. Avery was grumpy the whole trip and refused to wear shoes. It took three hours to finally see the statue of liberty. The city as the background. In all of her glory. The squirrels are very friendly.
