Ethan got on the news because he made a website so people could vote whether Ender's Game should be part of the 6th grade curriculum. Another girl in his class emailed the news channel, which brought them to the school, and they interviewed she and Ethan. Very cool for him to get in the spotlight for a few seconds! Here are some fun memories from our first month together. First, we enjoyed a honeymoon in Yellowstone. Then, we recently took a short day trip down to Bryce Canyon with Dr. Jerry Jaccard and our Hungarian friend, Zsuzsánna Mindszenty. We're finding there is never a dull moment in married life! Tarjei, Jerry, and Zsuza.

Tuesday, November 19, 2013. As I write this, you are 6 ½ months old. Your adoption was just finalized in court and yesterday we were sealed together as a family in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS temple. Today you are getting blessed in church. This has been an amazing and emotional week, we feel so blessed to be your parents. I want to tell you the story of how you came into this world and how you became ours. We wanted you in our lives for so long – years before you were even born. It was such an odd thought.
