krakblog: April 2009
http://krakblog.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 27, 2009. I just had to take a minute away from writing to let you all know something really cute and hopeful that happened this morning. Take care of this shit! No pictures from this event, since my lap was center stage and I was home alone. I barely breathed lest I disrupt the peaceful event! You'll just have to use your imagination. 00124 steps closer . Links to this post. Sunday, April 26, 2009. So if we're off the radar . well, I promise we have a good excuse! Links to this post. I lov...

krakblog: March 2010
http://krakblog.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 10, 2010. I know I haven't blogged much about the kitties lately, what with the excessive Alaska posting and all. They are, in a word, (still) amazing. Still the best wee companions any unemployed gal could ask for. Natasha, my little princess, is at times absolutely adorable, snuggly and sweet with the most precious little faint purr, and at times she is a total bitch. The bitchiness is, unfortunately, a result of Naski's, uh, attention. Naski, our little capricious rascal, still likes ...

krakblog: Connor's Birth Story, Part II
http://krakblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/connors-birth-story-part-ii.html
Saturday, March 19, 2011. Connor's Birth Story, Part II. See Part I of Connor's Birth Story HERE. Around 2 am on March 3 I awoke to a HUGE contraction that was seriously painful and accompanied by an intense need for a bowel movement (HELLO! What a way to launch Part II of Connor’s Birth Story, eh? After getting out of the shower I walked around the apartment for a while and the contractions settled down, coming 5 to 8 minutes apart and lasting 45 to 60 seconds. I found these to be completely. 8221; made...

krakblog: July 2009
http://krakblog.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2009. In addition to the whole “doctor” thing (see the post below this one), the true highlight of this last week for me was meeting my niece Kayla for the first time. I never had the chance to meet my nephews Braydan and Josh when they were teeny, and I always regret not being able to see them at that amazing stage. I was so excited to find out I would be an aunt again, and elated when I found out Randy and Jenni would be having a little girl. Mom, Dad, and Jenni flew in on the 4.

Saturday, March 26, 2011. Connor's Birth Story, Part III: The Arrival. Of Connor's Birth Story. Around noon or 12:15 pm on March 3, our midwife Mick encouraged me to start to push through the contractions, even though they weren’t really “pushing” contractions yet, if I felt the urge. I found it difficult to know how to push through these, although pushing did provide a slight relief from the pain. I pushed this way for at least half an hour (45 minutes, maybe? Mick and Lindsay encouraged me to change po...

Tuesday, August 25, 2009. Did I mention that this apartment has a huge master bedroom closet? In New York City, this thing would've been classified as another bedroom . it's HUUUUUGE! Even Nick has been gleeful about having a closet that can double as a dressing room. It makes me so happy, I don't even mind not having a double sink in the master bath. It's cooler than you might think). Links to this post. Thursday, August 20, 2009. Utah, part II. Big news here from Dayton! Okay, so updates aside, I wante...

Friday, March 18, 2011. Connor's Birth Story, Part I. We had an ultrasound at 12 weeks with a technician our OB deemed "exceptional" that apparently indicated girl parts. We even have a picture from that ultrasound with an arrow pointing to the aforementioned parts and the words "I'm a GIRL" typed RIGHT THERE for posterity. An ultrasound at 24 weeks confirmed that we were to expect a closet full of dresses and bows, and even I. I know what I'm looking at! The ultrasound also revealed that the baby was st...
