Thursday, May 22, 2008. Surgery @ 19 weeks. Looked good and mom and babies were sent home to normal life until the next appointment the following week. Tuesday, January 1, 2008. We have been reading quite a bit of blogs about Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome to get more information from people that have been through what we have been through. We are using this blog to get our story out there so maybe we can provide another account of a couples trials and tribulations as we are going through our own pregnancy. We were lucky to have a second opportunity at our first child together and wouldn't you know it, we were blessed with twins. Here is our story.

Tuesday, June 29, 2010. And those dates on the calendar that are so ingrained in our heads forever. There are 2 days out of every year, that I will not be able to completely enjoy, those days that bring back so many memories.and more what might have been's. To think that tomorrow we would be celebrating their 2nd Birthdays. I wonder what they would be like. Would they look like me, or like Christian? Would they be mommy's boys, or daddy's boys? Thursday, March 13, 2008. Our 1st Doctor's Visit @ 9 weeks. I said, "Are we having twins? He said, "Thanks for stealing my thunder.". He then sent us to an off site facility to determine which type of twins we were having; identical or fraternal. It was discovered that we were having identical twins, because both babies were located in the same placenta, but with separate amniotic sacs ( monochorionic. It was then that it really dawned on us that our family would soon be a family of 6! Links to this post.

The life and times of the Dostert household. Thursday, February 11, 2010. Our little munchkin is now 7 weeks old! She is such an angel. The brutal days of continuous crying and late night episodes have mostly disappeared, and she is becoming more and more independent every day. She still loves to be held when she can, but she is spending more time each day in her bouncy seat or swing. She is growing SO. Good thing she has her own room! Holly and Alyssa are growing up way too fast too! The MEP CAD Engineer.

We have never been ones to whoop it up on New Years Eve, it was nice this year to hang out just the three of us at home. I enjoyed the day by having breakfast with my family, and staying home and just spending time around the house getting things done. Chris and I are also doing well. He has been working a ton.
