Portland's premier triathlon store. Following the race team, the shop, and Portland multisport racing in general. Monday, February 15, 2010. Big weekend in Tucson. Saturday was a hard 5 1/2 hour ride, with 13 mile Madera Canyon climb. Steady the whole ride with run off. Sunday 1:30-1:45 run at a pretty hard pace after 25-30 minutes. 90min - 2 hour ride in the afternoon. Tim O'Donnell got in town and proceeded to show us some major swim speed, nice to have another top athlete in camp.

Portland's premier triathlon store. Following the race team, the shop, and Portland multisport racing in general. Monday, March 1, 2010. Like I said previously, great camp. I know I learned a lot from Cliff and the athletes there. Important for me is to keep that focus and recreate some of what we did there here in Portland. Training at the facility has seemed to work, as I felt much better than I expected on the bike. So now we rest this week, and get back to work. Great to be home.

This culture is very alluring, as the entire town shows up for a high school hockey game, and they support their children, their neighbors' children, the teenagers that coach their 7 year old sons and daughters in pee-wee hockey. I could never raise my kids in a city. Or California. I wouldnt know how. Im all for small towns. The New York Times.

I just discovered that itunes now has a built in social networking part called "Ping," where you can like share what you are listening to and what you like. I personally have no interest in either sharing what I am listening to or learning what other people are sharing. Also, they keep updating Itunes. It is so irritating. Now I just sound like an old crotchety person. This technology! It was six books in four days!

It was a bad fiction, because it totally was a chapter of a book, not a short story. The New Yorker published a couple chapters of his book "The Corrections," and the sensation of reading chapters of a book that you have read before as a short story is eerie. I don't like it.
