This is my personal experience transitioning. It is relatively quick and easy due to tremendous support from my family and friends. May 2015-Came out as trans to my dad. June 2015-Settled on my new male name, Informed workplace about name change. 7 July 2015-Court Order for Legal Name Change signed by Circuit Court Judge, Changed name with Social Security Administration. 8 July 2015-New Driver’s License with New Name. 10 July 2015-Request for Amended Birth Records with New Name.
