I am a Guernseyman, born and bred, aged 39. I am an Advocate by profession. I live at Rue du Gele, Castel with my wife Liz. I was locally educated before I studied for a degree in Law at the University of Exeter. I graduated with an Upper Second (2:1) degree in 1999. I was re-elected in Castel in 2016 and was subsequently elected as the first President of the Scrutiny Management Committee. To maintain a strong, dynamic, competitive economy, without which we cannot invest in or sustain key public services. To balance the budget and to adopt a credible fiscal strategy. To cut the cost of government by a variety of means, including selling off excess States' property assets. To focus on leadership, quality teaching and high aspirations in order to drive up standards in our education system. Firstly, I must sincerely thank all those Castel residents who supported me at the 2016 general election. It has been an absolute privilege for me to represent the people of the Castel in the States since 2012.
