Elder Andrew: 102

http://chrisinsacramento.blogspot.com/2013/07/102.html

Welcome to my weekly letter page! I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sacramento, California. Monday, July 29, 2013. Ryan Nguyen was baptized this Saturday! I love the gospel from his perspective - just simple and straightforward. The gospel just makes sense to him! Also this week all of the departing missionaries went to the temple with President and Sister Lewis. Usually we all go the day before our flights home, but the Sacramento temple will be closed the...

Welcome to my weekly letter page! I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sacramento, California. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. This week has been crazy busy. It just doesnt slow down, not even your last day! On Sunday Sunny and his son Jim Yang entered the waters of baptism. They asked us to baptize them. The service was beautiful and the Spirit was strong. The Yang family invited several of their Chinese friends and they enjoyed the service as well. Fair Oaks, CA 95628.

Welcome to my weekly letter page! I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sacramento, California. Monday, July 15, 2013. Push it forward, duh. were his words. YEAH! So Ryan is entering the waters of baptism on July 27th! Its just incredible to see the Lords promises fulfilled as we put our trust in Him. I love to see other people act in faith and receive answers to their prayers. Last month was RECORD high baptisms in one month (92! The Church is true!

Welcome to my weekly letter page! I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sacramento, California. Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Its been a great morning. Elder Christensen and I got up and opened our gifts and packages from home! The first weekend in January another one of our investigators in the YSA ward has chosen to be baptized. Ian is his name. I hope for both of these young men that they can serve missions as well. And lo, he cometh unto his own, that salvation m...

Chris Andrew's Blog: The Hobbit Caves and Fucoidal Quartzite

http://adventuresofchrisandrew.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-hobbit-caves-and-fucoidal-quartzite.html

Monday, September 23, 2013. The Hobbit Caves and Fucoidal Quartzite. This weekend Todd and I camped-out at the Hobbit Caves (so named for the small caves that pocket the limestone bedrock). There are a couple of bolted, one-pitch climbs there that we worked on that night. A few friends joined us for s'mores and a game of "what are the odds? It was the perfect weather - a little chilly but not butt-freezin' cold. The crew in the morning - Savannah, Todd, Mercedes, and Martina. Illusions, 5.10. Simple temp...

Chris Andrew's Blog: yurt stoke

http://adventuresofchrisandrew.blogspot.com/2014/04/yurt-stoke_15.html

Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Yurt: a Turkish or Mongolian tent-like structure, the traditional dwellings of nomads in central Asia. Pretty much, the coolest cabin you've ever seen. This March a group of friends and I rented and stayed in the yurt up Green Canyon here in Logan, UT. It was incredible! We stayed overnight in luxury with four bunk beds, a wood burning stove, propane for cooking, and even an outhouse (in case your butt wasn't already cold enough from the walk over)! Stoke level: through the roof!

http://adventuresofchrisandrew.blogspot.com/2013/09/up-canyon.html

Sunday, September 15, 2013. This place is simply amazing! I love Logan Canyon. And the best thing about it is it's about 4.28 minutes from where I live. I can see a tint of color in the leaves as the temperatures start to drop at night. I'm only just beginning to discover the beauty of these mountains. I'm looking forward to many more adventures here. Martina on the Crimson Trail. Todd and me at the Hobbit Caves. Trailhead shot at the Wind Caves. Wes, Maddie, Emily, me. On top of the Crimson Trail.

Chris Andrew's Blog: GMOs - from the label to the table

http://adventuresofchrisandrew.blogspot.com/2013/12/gmos-from-label-to-table.html

Thursday, December 12, 2013. GMOs - from the label to the table. The pulse oximeter beeped raucously, reminding me to breath deeply. I had just woken from a ten-day drug-induced nap that prevented me from causing any more damage to my hemorrhaging lungs. I coughed gently, my throat sore from the ventilator that I unconsciously yanked out the night before. Apparently my subconscious disliked invasive tubes as much as my conscious self. I exhaled, just grateful to be alive. Courtesy of sunfood.com. If they...

Chris Andrew's Blog: summer so far...

http://adventuresofchrisandrew.blogspot.com/2014/08/summer-so-far_4.html

Monday, August 4, 2014. I kept thinking to myself that I still have plenty of summer to still write, but I realized that today is already the beginning of August. Where did it go? So between whitewater trips and serving delish steak and seafood I've been climbing and camping when I can. It's been so good to be with my family (especially my brother Joseph who leaves on his mission to Brazil at the end of this month), hang out with old friends, and find new ones. Camp at Jack Creek, Desolation.

Monday, March 3, 2014. A couple weekends ago I went down to Moab with a roommate who was running the Moab Red Hot trail run. It was awesome to spend time with family and friends and the outdoor temperatures couldn't have been better! The morning before I headed back north for Logan my brother Joseph and friend Kerri and I rode the Amasa Back trail. The last time I attempted that one was about four years ago when I got sick! Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Last weekend we had a 48hr Deso reunion! Three years ago Karen, Ammon, Kerri and I did a 50 (not quite 48) hour Deso trip. On the Green. Since then, Ammon and Karen got married (that trip started it all), I served a mission, and life went on. So, we planned a reunion trip! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Girl of my dreams. My Place in the World! Some Observations from someone outside the Bear Part of the Gay community. May 23rd, 2014 03:32 pm. I find it interesting when I had made a comment on a post and I get told I overreacted. Which honestly (We all know that I am very emotional and probably over react all the time). It amazes me that the person that made the comment to me is the following. A new to the area 20something guy that fits the typical CUB/bear look. This person will probably never understand. A short gay man.

With so much to see on the web, attention has become the new, gold standard.'. Tuesday, 29 March 2011. Can journalists be bloggers, as well? Many people believe that journalism is more of a passive consumption matter, whereas blogging is interactive engagement. Our tutor in University of Sheffield, Bill Carmichael, gave a quite interesting lecture about this matter last week. Citizen or professional journalism? So, what do bloggers and journalists do? They analyse items in the news. Citizen journalism is...
