All Hail the Motherland: February 2011
http://gabisinmadrid.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
All Hail the Motherland. Monday, February 28, 2011. I might be shunned before I even get there! Now I understood why women in Morocco sit there for hours and even go before festivals and weddings! Now for the rest of the trip. Money, Money, Money! Camels waiting for us on the beach! Taking my ride :). Chellah Roman Ruins in Rabat. Fertility pond - Women would throw boiled eggs to eels symbolizing egg meeting sperm. Would have been the tallest Mosque. The gang taking a little hike. Mountains and the Kasbah.

All Hail the Motherland. Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Bloody Knees and Stinky Queens. I know It has been super long since my last post and I apologize, especially to my friends and family back home waiting patiently! So there are some new things that I've noticed about Spain as I go on with my daily weekly routine here in Madrid. There are NO ugly children. All Hail the Motherland: January 2011
http://gabisinmadrid.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
All Hail the Motherland. Sunday, January 23, 2011. To start, there are some new food words I'd like to acknowledge:. Nata: whipped cream heaven. Lomo: loin (pork, beef, etc.). Gallego: style of cooking authentic to Spain. On Tuesday night, a group of us attempted to spend a casual night at a tapas bar that a lot of students go to called El Tigre. After wondering the streets around Grand Via, we found out that it was closed! So I had my first Sangria, and we just hung out till it was time to go home.
