After the usual pre-flight-packing-scramble, and the most turbulent flight I’ve ever been on, I arrived in sunny and warm Nice on Wednesday afternoon. Despite looking very close on the map, it’s an hour bus ride from Nice airport to Monaco. (Tempting as it was, I decided to take the affordable bus over the glamourous helicopter from Nice to Monaco). The casino.apparently guarded by a ginormous metallic giraffe.
